Hi, I’m Kylie! I’m a Kiwi living in Sydney and loving the lifestyle here.
I’m in my 30s, single, and really value my alone time, which is one of the reasons I love pet sitting. It gives me the perfect mix of companionship and independence.
I work as a Project Support Officer in the city, spending three days in the office and two days working from home.
One of my favourite things about pet sitting dogs is that they keep me accountable for my daily walks. Something we both benefit from since I spend a lot of time at a desk!
Outside of work and pet sitting, I love hiking, beach days, and catching up with friends over brunch. I also have a car, so getting around the city is never a problem.

I offer pet sitting in exchange for accommodation. Please see below for my current rates for pet sits effective Jan 2026.
10+ Nights Free of Charge
5-9 Nights $25 per night
3-4 Nights $50 per night
***Sorry I am no longer accepting pet sits for 1-2 nights
***Any short stay bookings made after 30th August 2026 will be subject to a price increase. This does not affect future booking that booked before 30th August.
Location Preferences
I am currently only accepting bookings in Sydney due to my current job. My location preferences are in Sutherland Shire, Eastern Suburbs or 30 min or less commute to Central Station in the city.
Setting Expectations
I like to be fully transparent so you know exactly what to expect when you book with me. My goal is to maintain a healthy balance, ensuring I can enjoy life outside of pet sitting while always keeping your pets’ best interests at heart.
I work full-time as a Project Support Officer in the city. My schedule allows me to work three days from home and two days in the office, so there will be some days when I’m out for the full day.
Occasionally, I might go out for dinner with a friend or take a short day hike. I’ll always make sure all pets are fed and taken care of before I leave the house.
I will always check with you first, but on occasion I may invite a friend over for dinner. One of the things I miss most about having my own place is being able to cook for friends or watching a movie together.

The Process
1. Enquiry
Send me an email, text message or fill out this form and I will get back to you.
2. Meet up
If I think we would be a good match I will arrange for an in person meet up at your house to meet your pets. Or if that is not feasible we will start with a video call.
3. Review & Confirm
Both of us need to be happy with this arrangement. If both parties are happy we can confirm and your dates will be marked unavailable in my Calendar.
4. Key Exchange
I will come to your either a few days before or cross over with you on the day you leave to grab the keys and any last minute instructions.
5. Pet Sit
During my stay I will send you photo updates every now and then to let you know how everything is going.
6. Completion
At the end of my stay I will clean the house ready for your return. If I can I will stay until you arrive but this may not always be possible. If not I will liaise with you to for handing back the keys and make sure the pets are fed before I go.

Kylie was such an easy choice from the start. Before we left, she came by to meet Indi and go through everything with me.
She was friendly, easy to talk to, and someone I felt comfortable leaving my home and cat with. While we were away, she took excellent care of the apartment, my plants, and of course, Indi.

Kylie looked after our lifestyle property and pets (2 dogs and a cat) for almost 3 weeks while we were overseas.
We had a video call when we first started chatting which was really helpful to get to know each other better and kept in touch over the next couple months to make sure we were both still happy with the exchange.
Kylie looked after our home and pets so well and contacted us occasionally with little updates as to how things were going at home which was really great. We would use Kylie again in a heartbeat and are so grateful to have such an amazing house sitter.

I love pet sitting as it is a mutually beneficial arrangement between home owner and pet sitter which is why I do not charge for longer stays.
However, after a year of pet sitting and accepting all kinds of pet sits, I have found that anything less than 10 days is quite disruptive to my lifestyle, so I will only accept short term stays at the rates I specified above.
I understand that finding someone to look after your pets and home is stressful and even more so if having to do it at the last minute.
I treat my role as pet sitter with the same commitment and reliability as a professional job. You can count on me to show up when I say I will and follow through on every agreement we make.
Please rest assured that I will never cancel a booking because something 'better' comes up or because I simply changed my mind.
In the rare and extreme event that something unavoidable happens (for example, a family emergency), I will give you as much notice as possible and do everything I can to help you find a suitable replacement. The last thing I’d ever want is to leave you in a difficult position, but I also recognise that sometimes life can throw unexpected curveballs.
I completely understand that life can be unpredictable and sometimes plans have to change... it happens. I just ask that you approach this arrangement with the same level of commitment that I do, and only cancel if it’s truly unavoidable.
As a full-time pet sitter without a permanent home, last-minute cancellations can be just as stressful for me as they are for you when trying to find alternative arrangements. I really appreciate your understanding and consideration.
It is really important that we meet first in person or via video call to make sure we are both happy with the arrangement.

If this is of serious concern for you, then I may not be the best fit for what you are looking for.
Depending on the needs of your pet, I will of course walk and feed them before I leave and when I get home. I have also had some pet owners organise a dog walker for the days I am in the office to give them a bit of stimulation.
As I am committed to our agreement, please be assured that I will never book social events on the days I have to work in the city, to make sure that I am home to look after your pets.
All I ask is that the home is clean and there is enough food for your pets for the duration of my stay.
It would be great if you could leave me clear instructions so I don't need to bother you on your much needed holiday with trivial questions. This can include:
